この模範翻訳では、とても長い名詞句を使っていることもあるが、構造上も、少々難易度は高めだ。A as well as B の A と B　の箇所には the recovery と uncertainties が来ている。Aは concerns とつい誤解してしまうが、そうではない。concerns over ~  =「～についての懸念」の 〝～について‴ の後の箇所、つまり concerns over A as well as B という構造の中での A と B の箇所にthe recovery と uncertainties がおさまる、ということだ。

こうした正しい解釈は、金融の専門知識もしっかりとふまえ、文脈を正確に理解できていないと、とても間違えやすい。

ここで1点留意しておきたいのは、internally, externally as well as ~ とある。今までは、A as well as B など、A と B の箇所には、名詞や形容詞など、1つの品詞のみ使っていた。実は、この A と B の箇所には、いくつでも品詞をもってこれる。

つまり、A and B as well as C、A, B and C as well as D、あるいは A as well as B , C, and D などas well as の前だけでなく、後ろにでもいくつでも置ける。この複数の形は、最後8つ目のタイプとして取り上げたい。

~ as well as ~ を使った翻訳によって、英文に躍動感のような力強さも生まれる。

したがって、動詞編でも、他の活用タイプと同様に、as well as をしっかり使いこなせることが如何に大切であるかが認識できると思う。
